Bardstown City Schools has received confirmation of its five-year accreditation status by AdvancED. BCS completed its review by an external team of educators in November after a year-long self-evaluation process. The team’s recommendation for accreditation was ratified by AdvancED in January.
Along with the official notification of accreditation, Jerry Cooper, AdvancED Kentucky Director, expressed how this demonstrates the Bardstown School district’s commitment to educational quality, operational effectiveness, and student achievement.
“We are extremely pleased with the results of the AdvancEd accreditation process,” said Brent Holsclaw, superintendent. “While the review was challenging, it was also a rewarding experience for our district. It affirms the success that our students, staff, teachers, and administrators have experienced over the last few years.
“This is a validation of the great work that our staff does with our students and families every day,” said Holsclaw.
