*You will take the A level Reading, Computational Math, Applied Math, and Language sections of the TABE test. This is approximately three hours of testing.  You are not allowed to use a calculator during the test; scratch paper will be provided.

*You may take the entire test on Monday morning during the 9:00 A.M. testing session. If you need to test in the evening, you may take the Reading and Math portions of the test on Thursday evening during the 6:00 P.M. testing session. You will then have to schedule a time to return to the center complete the Language portion of the test.

*Bring a photo ID to the testing session. Please leave your cell phone in your vehicle.

*The WIA program requires a minimum score of 10.0 on each of the Reading, Total Math, and Language sections of the test. If you do not meet the minimum score requirements and would like to improve your skills in order to re-test, you will need to enroll in classes at the adult learning center.

****If any of your Reading, Total Math, or Language scores are 8.9 or below, you will have to complete a minimum of 40 hours of classroom instruction and homework.  It may take more than 40 hours to be ready for re-testing depending upon your skill level.

****If any of your Reading, Total Math, or Language scores are 9.0 or higher, you will have to complete a minimum of 30 hours of classroom instruction and homework.  It may take more than 30 hours to be ready for re-testing depending upon your skill level.
