Research shows that if your child uses the Moby Max program for 30 mins. a night that their skill in that area will improve.  I really, really need your support to help your child improve.  Please have them work 3 nights a week on language, math and reading so we can help them grow. Remember, they do this on their own. Thank you for your support.

Classroom Discipline Policy

Discipline is very important in our learning process. We hope that we never have a problem that we cannot work out at school but if a problem continues and cannot be resolved, we will notify you and we will work through the situation together. At the beginning of the school year we develop a list of classroom rules. We will set clear and reasonable expectations for the students. We learn to respect ourselves and our peers as well as our teachers. We will also have rewards and reinforcements for good behavior. We have a discipline chart posted in our room. Each child has a clip with their name on it. Throughout the day when children are showing good behavior, being respectful, and doing their best work they will clip up to a chart with a message of praise. If a child misbehaves or is not doing his/her work, they clip down to charts that warn of consequences. If a child clips down more than once, you will receive a note letting you know what behaviors caused the “clipping down.” When a child clips down, they do have a chance to clip back up if they show they have improved their behavior, respect and completed work in a timely manner. However, regardless if they clip back up to acceptable behavior, you will receive a note if at any time they have clipped down more than once. Below is the chart that shows the color and message as it appears in our classroom behavior chart. The children will come home and associate their day with a color, so you will need to refer to the color to tell what kind of day your child had at school.

Purple – “Outstanding”

Blue – Excellent Choices

Green – Way to go

Black – Ready to learn

Yellow – Think about it!

Orange – Uh-oh! Make better choices.

Red – STOP!

*Everyone gets to have a fresh start at the beginning of each day!
