We are already in November!  Students have been doing lots of fun learning.  We have been enjoying our new class chapter book read-aloud about a sweet little pig named Mercy Watson.  When students earned 40 whales, we had a Mercy Watson party.  Mercy loves all things BUTTER so we had buttered popcorn, hot buttered toast and butterscotch candy, a few of Mercy's favorites!

We played a SUPER FUN game called "SUM PIG".  Students were the "math farmers" and had to use fly swatters, no hands, to herd pigs into their correct baskets.   Each basket had a number and each pig(balloon) had a math problem on the back.  These farmers were learning and didn't even know it!  PIGGY PIGGY SOO WEE!!!

Mrs. Hart, our STEAM teacher, came in and taught a lesson on machines and engineering.  We also did another STEAM lesson in centers where students had to build a tall pumpkin tower using toothpicks and pumpkin spice marsmallows.  YUM!

We enjoyed going outside with Mrs. Kiser for the Principal's Reading  Challenge.  Mrs. Kiser read us a book as we gathered outside in her camping spot.  It was cold but we bundled up and braved the weather!

Our class was honored to be chosen to show our principals how much we love them.  We got to sing a song and you can see it on the Bardstown Primary School Face Book page.  We were also super proud to sing for our Veteran's Day program.

WoW!  These kids are AMAZING!

We have been busy!
