Oreo the Fire Dog

As we wrapped up our Community Helper Unit we had the opportunity to meet Oreo and learn about our Bardstown Fire Department. Here are some pictures of sweet Oreo and our kiddos!

Welcome to Kindergarten!!!

I am very excited about this school year and spending my days with your child. We will have an exciting year learning about ourselves, how to be a leader and all we need to grow in our education. My hope is to have you as a partner in your child's education.  This year I want to make sure we develop a relationship that values openness, support and communicationWe all have very busy lives, but our children are the future and we must invest in them. Our classroom community is made up of individuals, with their own learning styles, interests, history, hopes and dreams. We will become one group working together to learn and grow throughout this school year.  I'd like to tell you a little about me. I grew up in Pennsylvania, just outside of Pittsburgh. I am a Steelers, Penguins and Pirates fan.  I am also a Penn State Fan and a UK Basketball fan. I moved to Kentucky in middle school and moved to Bardstown in 2007 to begin teaching. I attended St. Catharine College where I played soccer and then went on to finish my degree at WKU. I then received my Masters degree through the University of the Cumberlands and recently completed the process to become a National Board Certified teacher. I taught 1st grade for 8 years and this is my 3rd year in Kindergarten. My husband and I have 2 childrens, I enjoy reading, relaxing and enjoying time outdoors and spending time with my husband, family and friends.
Please let me know if you have questions or concerns! I love when we are all on the same page! Remember to communicate with me and your child! They are more excited about learning if you are actively involved in their learning!!
Please join us for Kindergarten Kick Off- Open House on Tuesday, July 24th from 5-7. If you would like to bring your school supplies to Open House that would be great! :)
