Mrs. Waldridge

Introduction

Hello!  My name is Erin Waldridge and I will be your student’s Special Education teacher for the 2018-2019 school year.  I am one of two MSD Teachers at Bardstown Elementary. This will be my tenth year teaching students with unique learning abilities.  I have previously taught in Nelson County and Jefferson County. I received my Bachelor's Degree from Eckerd College, my Master's in Learning and Behavior Disorders from Georgetown College, and my second Master's/Rank One in Moderate and Severe Disabilities also from Georgetown. I currently live in the Fairfield area with my husband, five year old daughter and 18 month old son. I am very excited about working with your child this school year!

I would like to take this opportunity and welcome you and your child to a new year at Bardstown City Schools. I am looking forward to getting to know you and your child throughout the coming year, which surely promises to bring with it new experiences and challenges. In order to make the year a successful one, teamwork and cooperation will be essential!

As your child’s special education teacher, it is my goal to help them become not only a more confident learner, but as independent as possible. I will do my very best to help this year a positive experience for both you and your child.  In addition to myself, our classroom will consist of four instructional assistants. Ms. Angie, Ms. Amy, Ms. Lydia and Ms. Agnes are also looking forward to a fantastic school year! We will collaborate closely with general education teachers and the related service personnel to design an individualized, challenging, and meaningful educational experience for your child.

I look forward to working in partnership with you throughout the coming year, and I am confident that together we can provide the support and encouragement needed to help your child excel. If you have any questions or concerns, now or in the future, please don’t hesitate to contact me at the school by calling or e-mailing me.
